Oppo A57 smartphone with 16MP selfie camera launched in Australia

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of A57 smartphone in Australia at $358. The company launched the same smartphone in India in January this year with a price tag of Rs 14,990.

In terms of specifications, the Oppo A57 features has a 5.2-inch HD display with 720×1,280 pixel resolution. The display has 2.5D curved glass design. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. There’s also 32GB of internal storage with support for microSD cards.

For imaging, the Oppo A57 has a 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. A 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture is also in the mix.

Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Oppo’s own Color OS 3.0 skin layer, the A57 weighs 147g. Having a metallic body, it comes in Rose Gold and Gold colour variants, and has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the Home button.

Also, Oppo launched its selfie centric F3 Plus smartphone in India at Rs 30,900 recently. It is the first smartphone from the house of Chinese manufacturer to sport dual selfie cameras. This smartphone includes a 16MP regular module and an 8MP wide-angle module.

The handset has a 6-inch Full-HD IPS LCD display of 1,080×1,920 pixel resolution, secured with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phablet is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also supports microSD cards of up to 256GB in size for storage expansion.

Oppo F3 Plus comes with hybrid dual-SIM functionality and has all standard connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB (with OTG). There’s a 3.5mm audio jack as well. The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with ‘VOOC Flash Charge’ fast-charging support.
